As part of Elaine’s Composer-in-Association project at the Cross Border Centre in 2005, she worked with a number of adult and children’s groups and schools in that area and with their help she created an original piece of music for the Cross Border Centre Music from the Mouth.

Music from the Mouth alternates three songs with sections featuring the 2 percussion groups and are linked together with instrumental interludes and narration.  The text came from the many groups that were involved in the 6 month project.
