Rain is Coming was commissioned by the National Chamber
Choir in 1997 and uses a text by the Irish poet Dermot Healy which is taken
from his collection The Ballyconnell Colours. It was premiered
on International Women's Day in March 1998 by the National Chamber Choir and
then featured during the following Autumn tour. |
