This innovative commission explores ‘aural’ and ‘visual’ and the
physical spaces and surrounds of VISUAL, Centre for Contemporary Art and The
George Bernard Shaw Theatre in Carlow. The premiere took place in the
Link Gallery where three of Michael Warren’s pieces from his ‘Unbroken Line’
exhibition played an important role in the performance. As well as
taking part in workshops with Elaine and poet Sean Harding, everyone involved
in the commission were given a special tour of the site before the centre
opened where they met the foreman and builders as part of the commissioning
process. In preparation for the performance, Aspiro singers worked with
movement consultant Bryan Burroughs.
