Tears was commissioned by the Ulster Youth
Choir in 2013 and is a setting of an extract of a poem of the same title by
Irish poet Pat Boran. It was premiered in the Ulster Hall in Belfast by
the Ulster Youth Choir and then performed the next night in Christ Church
Catherdral in Dublin with the combined forces of the Ulster Youth Choir and the
Irish Youth Choir, conducted by Greg Beardsell. |
